E'er try doing something a different way from your normal routine and cant quite adjust?

    Thats the case with me.
All my life Ive carried my wallet in my left back pocket.
Decided to endeavor the minimalist approach and bought a slim front pocket conduct, leather wallet/money clip.

I dont know virtually you guys but I found out that I affect my rear pocket whenever I stand up upward without even thinking about information technology. Its like I subconciously check for my wallet at least 10 times a day.

The first time I tried the new wallet I almost fainted..
Stood up...Hand instinctively reached around to bank check for my wallet and when it wasnt at that place I panicked...LOL LOL LOL

Took about 10 secs to call back I was using front pocket wallet.
Afterwards two days of 'lost wallet syndrome" I gave up and went back to my old style wallet.

This ever happen to anyone here? Or am I the just nut case?

    Feel free to comment.

I recently moved my flashlight and multitool to the other side of my torso and have been struggling to adjust. I totally practice the self-patdown too, usually to make certain my pocket clipped items aren't riding up and are seated properly once I've stood up. I remember an episode of Mad Virtually Y'all where Paul Reiser'south character had to become a new wallet and finding one that felt right involved going through the pat down: bing-bing (breast pockets) bang-blindside (front trouser pockets) blast (wallet in treat hip pocket). I do the same pat down.

I recently switched to a slim front end pocket carry wallet too. Took me two weeks to get mostly used to it, only I'm glad I stuck it out. I went with a very cheap wallet (made it myself for less then $1) because I was afraid I wouldn't similar information technology. Information technology'southward a little piece of work to get used to, but it was easier then quitting smoking, at least a little.

Information technology takes half-dozen weeks to 6 months to alter a addiction, so I'm thinking it would accept that long to go used to non having a wallet.

It's actually an interesting habit. Professional person pick-pockets sentinel for these touches considering it shows where something valuable is located on the body.

Uncle Sam brought me to many strange and wonderful places over the years, just some of them were not and then nice, and so I started carrying my wallet in my front left pocket. It keeps my strong hand gratuitous and allows me that unobtrusive security impact or fifty-fifty just a glance downwards. It took some adjustment to go from rear to front, just I dear it. Much harder for the pickpockets at present. A side benefit is that front bear allows for that "wallet expansion" that occurs because of credit/ business cards etc.

I do the "pat down" every time I go up. It is one of the central means I avert losing anything as I don't motility on until I verify everything is where it should be. I have withal managed to change my wallet location. I was a back right pocket guy my entire life. I decided to slim down and employ a slim wallet in the same front end pocket equally my phone. I did freak out several times when I didn't feel anyting in my back pocket (yet practise occasionally) but I am glad I fabricated the switch. I love not sitting on a big wallet and feel much more than secure with it deep in my front pocket.

I comport a slim wallet with my license, credit cards, LTC, and big cash bills in my front left pocket. I yet acquit a wallet in my back correct pocket for a throw down wallet with some small bills and fake credit cards. I carry plenty cash in the back wallet to deal with the everyday expenses. Don't always work in prissy areas. I do the quick cheque of patting my pockets to encounter that everything is in that location and in it's place. Creature of habit and everything goes in the same place every twenty-four hour period when I clothes for the twenty-four hour period.

It'southward muscle memory - your brain merely needs to time to recall something has changed (and sometimes simply never does).

Information technology took a few weeks for me to get used to a wallet in the front end, but I would never go back now.

Shucks, you beat me to it. That's exactly what I was gonna say, and for that reason, I refrain from doing the pat-down.

really since I bought a new jeans my wallet is too big to fit in my left front pocket. Now I'm carrying information technology in my haversack, but it'south an odd feeling... and I'k looking for a slimmer one, that fits again.
I also made the feel with cars. We have a foot intermission when nosotros park our car. Every time a car doesn't has this feature I'm totally hit the imaginary interruption instead of using the hand break, aforementioned with lights etc.
